According to a recent article in Crain's Detroit Business News, eight owners and employees of home health agencies in Southeast Michigan have been charged with participating in an illegal kickback scheme involving payment for referrals of Medicare beneficiaries. The agencies are accused of paying $250 per referral to a Continuing Senior Care Inc., a company that allegedly recruited senior citizens by telephone.
