Survey Predicts Escalation of Primary Care Physician Shortage

According to a recent survey by the Physicians' Foundations, 49% of primary care physicians say that they plan on quitting or reducing their patient load within the next three years. This, coupled with an existing shortage and the government's attempts to reform health care by providing primary care access to more patients, is likely to create a significant shortage of primary care physicians in the near future.
